Visitor parking and campus access
Visitors need to register their vehicle in T2 Cardinal Cars and receive an appropriate virtual permit before parking on campus. UIW does not accept paper hang tags as a substitute for a virtual permit.
For a guest permit, create a Guest Login in T2 Cardinal Cars and register your vehicle; the admissions directions page requests a valid email address and vehicle information.
Guest permits are available at no cost. Department guest-permit requests must be submitted 2 days in advance, while unexpected visitors can use Guest Login to create an account and register a vehicle.
With a permit, guests may use any available general campus parking space, including the garage next to the Student Engagement Center. The general parking map marks Premium, Economy, Student A and Employee A areas with colored boundaries.
Reservable guest lots include the Agnese Sosa Garage, Ancira Tower Garage, Burr Lot, Clement Open Lot, Convocation Center Lots, Davis Court, Feik Lots, Fine Arts Lot, Hildebrand Side Lots, ICC Open Area, McCombs Garage, Natatorium Lots, Nursing Building Lot and Riverside Area Lots.
The guest-permit request process can be used up to five times per academic year. If you exceed that limit, the system directs you to contact the Parking Office.
Campus parking enforcement operates Monday–Friday during the Fall and Spring semesters, except on UIW-recognized holidays; enforcement hours for Premium, Economy and off-campus lots are 7 a.m.–5 p.m. Rules and operating details can change, so check the official site before you go.

The Parking Office’s Visitor and Information Kiosk is at 4301 Broadway, in front of the Administration Building at the Burr Road entrance. Its hours are Monday–Thursday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m.–noon; it is closed on weekends and holidays. You can call the office at (210) 283-5066.
Planning transport around your visit

UIW’s express shuttles run between the ICC dorm area and the SEC Monday–Thursday, 7 a.m.–10 p.m.; there is no Friday service, and the schedule may change. The current shuttles do not serve the front of the university or off-campus locations such as Watson Apartment, Township Apartment, the employee lot and the student lot.
